Role Overview
A strategic finance lead to negotiate IP and biopharma deals, build NewCo models, ensure clean deal execution, and set ventures up for spinout success.

Responsibilities
• Licensing Strategy: Lead or advise on negotiation of IP licensing deals
(exclusive, option-based, milestone-driven, etc.), including partnerships with large biopharma.
• Venture Structuring: Collaborate with legal to design cap tables, milestone triggers,
and founder equity aligned with the venture studio thesis.
• Financial Modeling: Build or audit financial models to map cash requirements,
valuation trajectories, and licensing economics.
• Investor Readiness: Support diligence and preparation of fundraising and strategic
pharma partnership materials, with a focus on financial architecture and deal structure.
You Might Be a Fit If...
• You’ve been a CFO or deal lead in a biotech company (venture-backed or otherwise)
• You have direct experience negotiating licensing or M&A deals with pharma and/or biotech companies
• You have firsthand experience with licensing biotech IP
• You’re comfortable working flexibly across multiple ventures
• You’re sharp on financial structures but don’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves

Bonus Points
• Familiarity with hybrid studio / venture models
• Legal fluency in biotech deal terms
• Experience with venture formation or early-stage spinouts
