This role is for a PhD scientist who wants to co-build and lead a new therapeutics venture inside an established biotech and AI venture lab.

Who Is This For
This role is designed for a scientist with the depth to lead research and the judgment to help build a company.
Required
• PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, or a closely related field.
• Strong record of scientific leadership, research execution, and publication.
• Strong technical grounding in one or more relevant areas such as wet-lab experimental design, molecular biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, CRISPR, single-cell sequencing, Python, R, or AI/ML tools for biology.
• High agency, strong judgment, and comfort working with incomplete information.
• Ability to lead research while contributing to venture formation, team building, and external scientific credibility.
• Commitment to a 7–10 year build horizon and comfort with an equity-led founder path.
• Readiness to relocate to Chiang Mai with intention and seriousness.
Preferred
• Startup, translational, or early-stage venture experience.
• Familiarity with founder economics, equity structures, and vesting.
• Experience mentoring researchers and helping build strong lab culture.
• Interest in building inside a cross-functional environment that combines science, operations, and venture creation.

What You’ll Build
You will help build and lead a new therapeutics venture inside Great Good’s platform.
Scientific direction and research strategy
• Define the scientific vision, research agenda, and experimental priorities for the venture.
• Shape the scientific thesis and help determine the target space, translational pathway, and development priorities.
Research execution and lab leadership
• Design and oversee experiments across biotech, molecular biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related areas relevant to the venture.
• Maintain scientific rigor, guide data interpretation, and ensure the research programme moves toward clear therapeutic value.
• Lead lab operations and work closely with dedicated technical staff.
Data, publications, and IP
• Analyze data and turn findings into clear scientific decisions.
• Contribute to publications, IP development, and scientific communications where relevant.
Team building and culture
• Help build the research team, mentor junior researchers, and contribute to a collaborative, high-standard scientific culture.
Venture formation and external representation
• Help shape milestones, company direction, operating priorities, fundraising discussions, and business growth.
• Represent the science with investors, advisors, partners, and the broader scientific community.
Operating environment
•Develop practical, high-leverage scientific approaches suited to a long-horizon venture build and Great Good’s operating environment.
